BIO
Robin Mitchell Cranfield is a graphic designer, illustrator, and writer. Inspired by design-educators like Bruno Munari, Kenya Hara, and Iela Mari, she also teaches about print and design at Emily Carr University. Her work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Kidscreen awards, and BolognaRagazzi.
Robin co-created the Windy series of children’s story books and apps, which was hailed as “playfully ingenius” by Publisher’s Weekly and selected as Editor’s Choice by Apple. In 2023 Robin released her fifth children’s book Wings, Waves, and Webs: Patterns in Nature and she is currently working on two new books for Greystone, due out in 2026 and 2027.
She holds a BDes from Emily Carr University and an MA in English, specializing in Print Culture, from Simon Fraser University.
